Arranging Plants on the Balcony

Growing garden plants on a balcony is not difficult, but every plant should receive its necessary dose of sunlight, fresh air, and space to grow well. On a few square meters of our urban balconies, we want to place as many plants as possible while preserving the conditions they need to thrive. This is where imagination and creativity come into play.

I’ve gathered several interesting ideas, each of which can be easily implemented at home.
flower pots from unused items

Use any type of container for planting. You’ll find plenty of teapots in your grandparents’ cabinets, left over from the times when everything was purchased for future use. They’re also easy to hang.

Though not exactly a balcony option, this is such a charming idea! The holes in the bricks are already there, so planting poses no challenge.

pot from unused items

Reusing unused materials. It leaves a lasting impression and is not hard to figure out how it’s done. You might need to enlist the help of a handy man. :)

Another recycling idea: a little green drawer garden on your balcony.

crocheted hanging pots

I have an entire bag of crocheted doilies stored away. I think these make great hanging pots for plants.
